What to expect from this Oreo Waffles Recipe?

Perfectly crispy from the inside and soft inside. With crushed oreo in the batter, you get a crunch in every bite. Served with vanilla ice cream, Nutella and nuts are an excellent addition to the waffles. It’s a party in the mouth.

What do you need to make these waffles?

Flour-the best texture you can get is through all-purpose flour. Some may want to try with whole wheat, buckwheat flour but flavour and texture gets compromised.

Sugar-the waffle itself isn’t very sweet as it is always served with some sweet syrup such as maple syrup, chocolate syrup, ice cream etc.

Baking powder and baking soda– these rising agents help waffles rise well and give it a soft interior.

Butter– it provides the fat needed plus the buttery flavour.

Egg– be sure to use room-temperature eggs.

Vanilla essence – it’s needed so as to eliminate any egg flavor.

Milk-prefer using full cream milk for better texture.

Oreo biscuits-the star ingredient of the dessert. It’s used in a grinder and crushed form to give the best flavor possible in the waffle batter.

It’s time we make this recipe. Enjoy!

Is pancake mix the same as waffle mix?
Although both have the same ingredients going in, the ratios of the ingredients are different. Waffles have more eggs, sugar and butter as compared to pancakes.
Should waffle batter be thick or thin?
The batter should be thin or runny. It should not be thick as it won’t spread out in the waffle machine properly and will not have a light texture.
Why don’t my waffles get crispy?
Ensure that the waffle machine has reached the desired temperature needed. If the batter is poured into a cool or less hot machine, then the batter will cook but won’t have crispy edges. Also, do not over-mix the batter, as it makes the waffles chewy.
How long should you cook waffles?
They should be cooked between 4-6 minutes. It will also depend on the machine you are using and the amount of batter you poured.
Should waffles be soft or crispy?
The edges of waffles must be crispy, while the middle or inside must be fluffy.
What makes a waffle soggy?
Pouting batter in a less heated waffle machine will not make the moisture in the batter escape quickly as steam. Since quick heating makes edges crisp, none of this will happen when the machine is not hot enough.
