Flour-all purpose flour needs to be cooked in order to eat it. So the trick is to bake the flour in the oven until it turns brown and then use it to make the cookie dough.
Unsalted butter-you don’t want saltiness while eating the dough, so unsalted butter must be used.
Brown sugar – brown sugar adds depth and caramelized flavour to the dough.
Castor Sugar– when beaten with butter, it helps trap air making the dough fluffy.
Milk-it is needed to add richness and to bind the dough together.
Salt-since we are using unsalted butter, we can alter the amount of salt needed as per the taste.
