am I too late switching to baking at 34, with a home loan running?
34, home loan running, job I'm competent at but stopped caring about. Been baking on weekends for four years and it's the only part of my week I look forward to.
The fear isn't the work, it's the sequencing. If I quit and train full time I have maybe fourteen months of runway before things get uncomfortable. If I train part time while working, I suspect I'll do both badly.
Anyone here who made this move later rather than straight out of college? What did you do about income during training and how long before the new path paid for itself? I'd rather hear the version with the boring financial details than the inspirational one.
