how do I price my cakes without underselling myself? busy all week, basically breaking even
Been taking orders for about a year and I'm busy, which everyone treats as good news. But last month I actually added up ingredients, gas, packaging, delivery and the HOURS... I'm close to breaking even. Some months below it 🙃
Problem is I priced my first orders for friends, those became my reference prices, and now I don't know how to move without losing the customers I have. How did you build a real price instead of guessing? And how do you raise prices on existing customers without it getting awkward?
