do you cost the whole pineapple or just the 650g you use? husband says I'm overthinking
Costing my pineapple pastry properly for the first time and I've hit a philosophical dispute at home.
I buy a pineapple for ₹120. After peeling and coring I get maybe 650 grams of usable flesh. My recipe uses that 650g. I say the recipe cost includes the full ₹120, I had to buy the whole fruit to get my 650g. Husband says only the proportional cost of what physically went in.
Who is right? And the follow-up argument... he also says my four hours of baking are "free because you enjoy it", which, well. I need this forum to settle 😌
