Best baking classes in Delhi — how do I compare them without falling for marketing?

Choosing a Course DelhiComparisonShortlistMarketing

I have a shortlist of five places in Delhi and on paper they are indistinguishable. Same claims, similar fee bands, similarly glossy Instagram.

I am looking for the comparison criteria that actually differentiate, not the ones every brochure already answers well. What did you compare on, and what did you only realise mattered after you had enrolled?

Want the version of this answer that comes with a kitchen?

Truffle Nation's professional programme runs at our Delhi (Saket) campus — hands-on, small batches, and built around actually earning from what you bake.

  • 4–6 month professional programme, Delhi campus
  • 1:8 chef-to-student ratio — real bench time, not demos
  • Full eggless curriculum alongside classic French technique
  • 400+ students placed and running their own bakeries
  • Business & pricing strategy built into the course

What I only realised afterwards: how much of the course is your own bench versus watching a demonstration. Two places I looked at counted demo hours as practical hours. That is a very large difference in what you actually come out able to do.

And whether they teach you to price. I came out technically decent and commercially clueless, and lost money for a year on orders I was proud of. Ask every place on your list what they teach about costing. Most will change the subject.

Ananya, Meera and Gurpreet have named the two that matter most, and we would put them at the top of your comparison sheet too.

The criteria we would use if we were you: hands-on bench hours stated as hours, chef-to-student ratio verified by visiting a live class, whether costing and pricing is a real module or a throwaway session, how eggless work is taught, and what happens after — not a placement guarantee, which nobody honest gives, but who they actually know and how they introduce you.

Ours, plainly, so you can slot us into the sheet: 1:8 chef-to-student ratio, four to six months, ₹1.85L to ₹3.65L by track, full eggless curriculum taught to the same standard as the classic French work, business and pricing strategy built into the programme, Saket campus, and 400+ students supported into kitchens and their own businesses.

Do not take any of that on our word. Visit all five during live classes and count. The places that resist that are telling you something.
