Simple Banana Bread
- 1.5 no. Ripe bananas
- 75 g Oil
- 50 g Brown sugar
- 25 g Castor sugar
- 30 g Eggs
- ½ tsp Vanilla essence
- 145 g All-purpose flour
- ½ + ¼ tsp Baking powder
- 2 g Baking soda
- 1 pinch of Cinnamon powder
Garnish
- 50 g Melted dark couverture
- 10 g Chopped almonds
Instructions
- Prepare a rectangular tin by brushing some oil and placing a piece of butter paper at the bottom.
- In a bowl, take peeled bananas and mash them using a fork.
- Once the above texture is achieved, add oil, eggs, and vanilla essence to the mashed bananas and mix them.
- Add the sugars, i.e., castor and brown sugar, to the above mixture and mix.
- Sift the remaining dry ingredients, i.e., all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon powder, and mix to get a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once the banana bread reaches room temperature, pour melted dark chocolate over it and sprinkle some chopped almonds.
