Russian Buttercream Recipe

Russian Buttercream: Silky, smooth and fluffy – all you need in a buttercream is here in this simple recipe. Pair it with cakes and cupcakes to make them extra delicious. 

  • Total Time: 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200g Unsalted Butter
  • 140g Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Take room temperature unsalted butter in a bowl and start beating it with an electric hand beater. Beat for at least 5-7 minutes or until it’s fluffy. (the colour of the butter will turn white)
  2. Now add condensed milk gradually while still beating the butter.
  3. The buttercream will become smooth and fluffy when both ingredients are mixed properly. 
  4. Lastly, add the remaining ingredients, vanilla bean paste and salt, then beat again for some time.
